Life With An Introvert

Here We Go Again

It's finally time to come home
No words about your day
No calling on the phone
Nothing to talk about or say

You grab something to eat
Time to watch baseball
You'll enjoy a sweet treat
Phone rings customers call

The life of an introvert
Always in the background
I of course feel hurt
I pray for talking sounds

Tick tock goes the clock
Time to watch the news
I'm always very shocked
I'm always rather confused

Please will you talk with me
Nothing has happened today
I dream of running free
I'm miserable in so many ways

I try and not cry
It's the same old shit
I'm so sad, I cannot deny
I'm off for another crying fit

In his mind, everything is great
There's nothing ever wrong
He just has a lot on his plate
I try so hard to be strong

We're both very stressed
And deal with it differently
We're both probably depressed
We love each other unconditionally

We still have an amazing life
We just have these rough patches
I'll always be your adoring wife
I still think we're a good match
