Whence Wiggled You, Squirmy Wormy?

This poem only available on Stories Space. If you are reading it elsewhere, it has been stolen.

Whence wiggled you, Squirmy Wormy?
Did you crawl through sunless halls
Of earthen elven making?
Did you wiggle and slimy jiggle
Through giants' homes, a-shaking?

Whence wiggled you, Squirmy Wormy?
Did you see the moles, with glee,
As you wandered through their ensuite?
Did you meet and happily greet
The centipede and his feet?

Whence wiggled you, Squirmy Wormy?
Have you tooted past daisies rooted
In sticky, musty soil beds?
Was it too wet for you to get
Upon the pads of lilyheads?

Whence wiggled you, Squirmy Wormy?
Have you slept where willows wept,
Or climbed a coal seam mountain?
Was it too airy to be a fairy
And fly on a blowball fountain?

Whence wiggled you, Squirmy Wormy?
I know not where! It's a tad unfair;
I suppose I shall never know.
It's a bit of a piggle not to know where you wiggle,
So I'll just dream about where you go.
