About

I live in an off the grid cabin in the woods in Maine. I was an educator and started three schools. I was a baker, cafe owner and now write everyday beginning at 4 am. All of my novels are available on Amazon's Kindle: Twins of Atlantis, Daughters of Atlas, Children of the Dream are my Atlantis trilogy. My most recent novel, Spam is also on Kindle. I also have three books of poetry: Journey Homeward, Morning Songs and Sisyphus as well as a book on education.

Interests
I am an avid gardener and keep a big garden. Now I live a simple quiet life but like Thoreau, "I have traveled far and wide in Walden." My life has been an adventure and, inspite of all that is anguishing in the word, I am a happy man and find joy in simple things. I have many erotic stories on Lush but have many non-erotic stories that express my visions and passions.

Favorite Books
Way too many books to name but there a few that come to mind that have had an impact: The Plague by Albert Camus, Herzog by Saul Bellow, Madam Bovary by Flaubert.

Favorite Authors
Camus, Roth, Steinbeck, Flaubert, E.L. Doctorow, Cervantes, Shakespeare, Harper Lee, Yeats, Keats, Dylan Thomas, Chaucer.

Favorite Movies
Again, way too many to list.

Favorite Music
Dylan, the Beatles, Leonard Cohen, Brahms, Beethoven, Mahler, Rachmaninoff.

My Intuition Speaks to Me

From my new collection Geography of the Mind--Poems of Exploration

Listen to me when I speak to you, tells you what you need to hear, whispers in your ear when others tell you what to do and you’re uncertain, on the fence, bewildered.   Close your eyes and listen to me with your heart; trust me more than you trust your...

My Mind

From my new collection Geography of the Mind--Poems of Exploration

Sometimes I’m in a jungle tripping over vines, shoving my way through bushes, looking for a path, wondering if there is one and asking with every breath where am I?   Other times my mind is an eagle high above the trees and mountains, soaring over lakes,...
