Brother Sebastian stood on the porch of Carpenter's ranch house and uttered a silent prayer to God that all his years of research and interpretations of the most ancient texts were correct. As the sun rose further in the sky, he watched the beams of light, as they moved slowly across the yard toward the house, illuminating everything in their path.. It reached the porch and slowly moved up the two stairs falling on the he...

King Kong They called me King Kong, Although I really don’t know why. I hadn't any kingdom; Just a very hairy guy. Yes, I lived on a nice island, As pretty as could be. There was no real rent involved, So I guess you could say it was free. Yet, it was no bed of roses, For others lived there too. They used to scream and shout at me, Which made me sad and blue. Still, I would have lived with that, I could have just stayed o...

You surely feel it, too just as I do All this sudden heat from head to feet. Now I’m ready to bet we’ll start to sweat As down here we lay and prepare to play. Sand between our toes and where else, who knows? Above us clear azure sky a breeze, just a mere sigh. I reach for your hand feeling the wedding band. And now I linger caressing this familiar finger. We smile, eyes bright everything is so right For you and I so hot...

The vote was made and the procession moved onward. They had only a few hours before nightfall and hoped to reach their companions in time. On the trail, as they walked, Lycan pondered the possibility of making another like him, wondering if Jace could handle it and trying to judge his character. At the same time, his thoughts kept going back to why the killings had ended so quickly and, if there were survivors, how they h...

Chapter Seven - Oasis “So do you play any sports?” Nick asks me as we start driving to the cinema. “I do horse riding. I’ve been riding since I was five or six and I started competing when I was twelve. I’ve won a lot of competitions and I have a competition this weekend,” I tell him, glad to put the incident with Taylor behind me. “Do you own any horses?” Nick asks me curiously. “Yeah, I own a black thoroughbred mare nam...

My body hurts. With every step I take on the damn ground I feel my soul burning and hurting,  Like at any moment I could fall through the floor. Life is hard for everyone, And for people that feel like this it is 100 times harder just to get through one day. Curse my brain for keeping me awake at night, Curse this fucking medication that I have to take everyday. I'll fight those demons hiding in my closet, And I will have...

“Did you know that people live because they have to know their purpose?” Dmitry sat next to me under the old Acacia tree. It was one of those trees at the back of the orphanage. There were no spectacles to see, but it was the shadiest. “This is my spot.” Although there was sadness in his eyes, still he smiled. “Sister Cecilia has guests. He’s back, and he brought his son with him. I heard from Anthony, the old man is a de...

Chapter 3 Dracula's Past Now in the castle's main room, the two sat before a warm fire, sipping at their drinks. “Sorry about the cooking wine.” Victor apologized. “But it was all I could find in the kitchen. My former assistant, Igor, must have taken every ounce of wine with him, when he took off. Even that so called hiding place he had with that noxious brew he was so fond of is gone.” Baron Von Frankenstein visibly shu...

As the night starts and the darkness comes over me, I look out into the darkness of the shadows, only see the shell of what once was. The hurt of being betrayed, the anger of being hurt, the sorrow that comes from the anger,  all tearing at me - trying to consume me. When will it all fade away? Why is the loneliness of a darkened soul all I feel? Feeling the burning of the blood coursing through my veins, feeling it carry...
