I turned to watch Alexis coming down the stairs. After twenty years she still took my breath away. “Why the stare?” Alex asked.“Because you’re more beautiful at forty-five than you were at twenty-five,” I answered. Alex walked up and kissed me.“Keep that up and you won’t get any sleep tonight!” she said as she winked at me. “Now what’s all the shouting about? Why did you drag me down here?”“You have got to see what just c...

The PassThis was an extreme winter for the small village tucked away in a valley. All the old farmers knew in the fall by looking at the horses growing thick coats, squirrels gathering nuts running to and fro looking into the sky. Day after day wagon after wagon loaded with firewood snaked thru the pass. The elders gathered the villagers and had them bend on one knee to pray."We give our lives into your safe keeping," they...

Is this it? Just existing amongst jealousy? Honestly- all it takes is a look around and it is instantaneously enough to be sickened... So many beautiful women that will be defined by the pessimistic masculine exterior, and it subverts my vision of beauty- and plunges me into the grotty dynamics of this insignificant world that does in fact turn without our self indulged necessities. The world evaporates and is condensed in...

Satisfied, he falls asleep Thoughts drifting into dreams Mad as Hell, I lie awake Struggling to bridle my screams Traces of my stolen DNA sheathe his most private places While bleeding cuts and purple bruises defile my most sacred spaces I gently nudge him but he doesn’t stir, so I connive a hasty retreat But flashbacks of an invariable scene fill my mind with familiar speech, “ You’ll die before I let you go!" He caution...

You crept into my house in the black of the night When my eyes were closed and my guard was down You came to my bed and whispered lies in my ear But I didn’t resist; your voice is soothing to ears that bleed You weren’t invited yet decided to stay Making a space for yourself at the foot of my bed You’d feed me half-truths and rub my belly until I fell asleep Then in the morning scold me for eating too much You kept me ins...

A ludicrously frigid breeze is barreling through this black and desolate space where my feet have grudgingly settled. There is no life in this place; none except me and the glacial gust, which is blowing in from each and every direction that exists, simultaneously. ‘What happened?’ I wonder aloud. Moments ago when I crossed over into the Realm of Dreams I had enjoyed a leisurely flight over Azure, the largest, deepest, bl...

It looks like some mean people have resolved at all costs to take us back to the Dark Ages. I am sick to the bone about it all. The moment l meet other nationalities and we chit-chat about it, l feel lost, let down and naked. It weighs on my pride, personality and achievements. To be frank, this curse haunts me like a hound. Excruciating bruises are written all over me, all over my place and conscience. It is a shattered...

Dark Knight Lost SoulOnce there was a young knight from the Spanish countryside. On one of his many journeys he did meet an exotic maiden, her hand promised to a great warrior from the isle of mists. He did so plot and coax this exotic maiden with grand stories with one goal in mind: to claim this exotic little flower as his own.As the tongues wagged at court, the knight grew emboldened. He must claim this maiden, mark her...

BLOOD OATH upon the field of honour we do stand tall and unwavering true to our one God banners whipping in the wind of discontent shields and battle axes at the ready to defend swords drawn as if waiting to draw evil blood a cry of FAHNENEID echos off the great walls tis time to beat back the darkness the evil before us will light extinguish the dark as the sun does the moon bringing all good men of pure heart and souls...

This poem only available on Stories Space. If you are reading it elsewhere, it has been stolen.Darkness and shadows build walls around me,Easing the void of aching coldInto the black, still oil of loneliness.Screeching demons claw at my hair,Ribboning layers of scalpTo the broken brain and juice within.Slobbering maws tear at the bloody messThat has been my heart,And still the pathetic massTries to tremble a beat of life,...
